How to find out what web-container servers are running on a machine?
I have seen Find out on what web server a site is running which is a near duplicate.
The difference is that the above question and answer assumes that there is some content in the container which can be checked, and that no direct access to the machine is needed.
In my case I don't know of any content within any container, nor if there is a container at all.
I am using linux, but most customers use windows, and I don't want to install a web-engine if another engine is already preinstalled but doing no work because the container is empty.
